The canteen by soul and surf is the best place to have a drink and a bite with an amazing view of paradise. Enjoy a coconut and a eggs your way while keeping an eye on the surfers shredding down the line. The staff is amazing and really attentive. The cafe manager tharu is exceptional and she keeps and amazing spirit throughout the whole day.

So glad we found this gem, it’s by far the best restaurant in Ahangama - in a magical location with very delicious food! The restaurant is a true oasis of calm, tucked away on its own private beach. All the dishes we tried were a tasty and fresh - we loved the fish tacos, tuna noodle salad and the chicken burger. Great service from the very friendly staff. A fab place to stay all day and lounge, swim, eat, drink. Also great for sunset cocktails

I really like this place. The atmosphere is mellow and pretty, with a beautiful beach view and a partial look to The Cove surf spot. Wonderful to watch on good days while eating. Really enjoyed the purple egg hoppers - wished they were a bit more filling but tasted really good. And liked the cappuccino too. Bonus points for the doggies around.

A wonderful chilled spot right by the water, with a great menu (plenty of gluten free and plant based options), great vibe and super friendly staff. Loads of space to work remotely if that’s your vibe, or to just chill out with a drink (I recommend the iced coconut drink or the jalapeño smash) and some good food (the egg hoppers are delicious) and enjoy the sunset over the beautiful cove. Recommended!

the thoughtful menu of the canteen has something to offer for everyone! if it’s sri lankan, western or pastries that you crave, you’ll find it here. also the coffee is great and comes with incredible latte art and a big smile. the staff is extremely comforting and the atmosphere super relaxed. you can enjoy your coffee with a unique view on the ocean and the surf. the food was delicious and the service great a place to come back to

A great relaxing space right on the ocean front. I enjoyed some delicious food and the best coffee I had in Sri Lanka. Friendly and attentive staff. They host weekly Sunday sessions which are worthwhile attending.

Super chill vibes. We didn’t eat here but came for drinks. Super peaceful in the morning when it’s quiet and you can watch the surfers/waves. Some cool yoga classes on too. Plus fun live music on Sunday and happy hour. Really great.

Amazing place, good food, fantastic coffee and great atmosphere, with a view to the beach. Service from all the employees was really good at the place, especially from Ravindu.
